Kimmeridge Texas Gas has amassed around 148,000 net acres in Texas overlaying the dry gas window of the Eagle Ford Shale within Webb and McMullen counties. The company produces approximately 315 million cubic feet equivalent of oil and natural gas per day, selling into the South Texas market with access to Mexican export channels, to LNG terminals for global sales, and into pipelines directly servicing Gulf Coast petrochemical facilities.
KTG began as a conventional producer of natural gas in the shallow horizons of South Texas. In addition to 3D seismic data, which KTG owns over its entire acreage position, extensive petrophysical and core analysis identified KTG’s acreage to be highly prospective for Eagle Ford Shale, with the Lower and Upper Eagle Ford as primary and secondary targets, respectively.
In the near term, KTG is focused on realizing the opportunity to grow substantially by optimizing its current production practices and by establishing and developing our programs in the Lower Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk formations. In the longer term, the company plans to continually improve its cost structure and bring technology (and technology partners) to the forefront of operations to fully unlock the potential of Kimmeridge’s South Texas asset.
